Join Kansas Veterans Coalition in making a difference!

On July 4, 2026, America will celebrate the most important milestone in our country’s history — 250 years of American Independence.

In recognition of this historic anniversary, we have launched Honor 250, a community-driven effort to preserve, restore, reset, clean, and stabilize 250 veterans’ grave markers and memorial monuments in our local cemeteries.

This project was created to ensure that the service and sacrifice of our nation’s veterans are remembered with the dignity, visibility, and respect they have earned. Across our cemeteries, many veterans’ headstones and memorial markers have become weathered, shifted, sunken, unstable, or difficult to read.

These graves represent generations of Americans who answered the call to serve in war and peace.

As our nation commemorates 250 years of freedom, Honor 250 is a meaningful way to ensure that those who defended that freedom are not forgotten.

What “Preservation” Includes
